Queenstown has an incredible range of wedding venues and locations to suit all kinds of celebrations, from intimate elopements and small gatherings to multi day wedding celebrations! Whether you’re dreaming of mountain top views, a beautiful vineyard in Gibbston Valley, a boutique villa or something completely your own, there’s a Queenstown wedding venue to suit just about every style and size.
We’ve filmed weddings all over Queenstown and the surrounding Southern Lakes, so here’s a list of some of our favourite Queenstown wedding venues and locations to help you find the perfect spot for your day!
The Winehouse is one of the standout Queenstown wedding venues, tucked away in Gibbston Valley, just a short drive from Queenstown. Set around a beautifully restored historic homestead, the venue combines gardens, open lawns, mountain views and the surrounding Gibbston landscape, giving couples plenty of options for both their ceremony and reception. It’s also a seriously good spot for a wedding film.
From the garden ceremony and drinks on the lawn through to the indoor/outdoor Pavilion, mountain backdrops, river views and the dance floor later in the night, there are loads of different spaces to work with including the iconic towering pine hedges! The on site helipad also means you can sneak away for a helicopter adventure into the mountains while your guests enjoy the celebrations below. We’ve filmed some pretty epic celebrations at The Winehouse, and it’s a venue that works beautifully for couples wanting a relaxed Queenstown wedding with a mix of beautiful scenery, good food, plenty of space and a bit of fun.

Stoneridge Estate is a beautiful Queenstown wedding venue set in the vicinity of Lake Hayes, surrounded by gardens, vines and mountain views. Just 15 minutes from Queenstown, the estate has a really distinctive old world feel, with its stone buildings, boutique vineyard, chapel and beautifully landscaped grounds. Couples can choose between an intimate ceremony in the Chapel or an outdoor garden ceremony overlooking the lake and mountains.
With Lake Hayes and the surrounding mountains providing a beautiful backdrop for photos and film. It also works for everything from intimate weddings and elopements through to larger celebrations, with options for ceremonies, reception and even accomodation on site.

NZ High Country is one of those Queenstown wedding venues where the scenery really does most of the talking. Set amongst the rolling hills just moments from Queenstown international airport, the property has panoramic views across Lake Wakatipu, Lake Johnson, Coronet Peak and the Remarkables mountain range. With several different spaces across the property, couples can create anything from an intimate elopement or small wedding to a larger celebration with all their friends and family.
There are four different venue options to choose from, including the Lake June Marquee, Tussock Point, Summer Views and Country Courtyard, each with its own feel and setting. From saying your vows surrounded by 360-degree mountain views at Country Courtyard to a larger celebration at Lake June, there are plenty of ways to make the space your own.

NZ High Country is a pretty special place to film. The open landscapes, changing mountain light and huge views give us plenty to work with throughout the day, while the different spaces allow the film to move naturally from the ceremony and celebrations through to the party. It’s a great option for couples wanting a Queenstown wedding venue that feels connected to the surrounding landscape and gives you that classic Queenstown mountain and lake backdrop.

Tucked away just outside of Arrowtown, this luxury resort is set across 650 acres of rolling countryside, manicured golf courses, winding streams and historic stone buildings, all surrounded by the mountains of the Wakatipu Basin.

What makes Millbrook so special is the variety. From intimate garden ceremonies by the stream to sun soaked terraces, rustic stone architecture and elegant reception spaces, there are so many different settings to explore without ever leaving the resort.
