Super 8 is a completely different process to digital. Every roll requires physical film stock, processing and scanning, with each cartridge offering only a few minutes of recording time. The cost covers the cartridge of film itself, professional development in a lab and scanning, as well as, the additional time involved in shooting and working with the footage. It’s not just an extra camera it’s an entirely different medium and process!

The Super 8 Add-On is designed to enhance your existing wedding film, not replace it. Every wedding will still

receive our full standard digital coverage and all original package deliverables.

Adding Super 8 simply gives us another way to capture your day bringing an extra layer of nostalgia, texture and

old-school charm to your wedding film.

When you book the Super 8 Add-On, you’ll receive everything included in your original package, plus your Super 8

footage.

How do we confirm adding Super 8 to our

package?

Simply send us an email at least 4 weeks before your wedding so we can make sure we have a roll of film, and we’ll add the addition to your final invoice. Easy!

Will there be music with our Super 8 footage?

As part of your Super 8 Add-On, you’ll receive two separate versions of your Super 8 footage, giving you two different ways to relive your wedding day:

1 x Unedited Raw Super 8 Video — No Music

This is your complete roll of Super 8 footage, unedited and straight from the film processing lab!

Every second captured on your roll of film is included. It’s the raw, authentic record of what was

filmed on the day.

1 x Edited Super 8 Video — Music Edition

This is your edited Super 8 film, set to a carefully selected music track. The best moments of your

footage, edited into a raw, authentic vintage-style film. It’s intentionally different from your

Highlights Film, giving you another unique way to remember and experience your wedding day.

What Is Included?

So You Have Some Questions?

Can anything go wrong with the film?

Super 8 is an analogue format, which means there’s always a small element of unpredictability,

which is part of its charm! We’ve carefully selected some of the best film developers in Australia,

but things like camera faults, exposure or processing issues can still occasionally happen.

The good news is that Super 8 is always an addition to your standard digital coverage, never a

replacement. Your wedding is still fully captured digitally, so nothing important is missed. And in

the unlikely event your Super 8 film is damaged or lost during processing, we’ll provide a full

refund of your Super 8 Add-On!

How long does it take to develop the footage?

Super 8 film typically takes 4-8 weeks to ship, process and develop. Because of the analogue

process, we can’t guarantee a quick turnaround for films containing Super 8 footage. It simply

takes a little extra time to get your film back, processed and ready to watch.

Is there any audio captured?

Super 8 cameras were released in the 1960's and are processed on a physical rolls of film,

meaning it is not possible to capture audio on these analogue film cameras.

Why Super 8 Costs more?

Super 8 cameras are vintage analogue film cameras, originally popular from the 1960s through to the 1980s, that

capture footage onto physical rolls of 8mm film. The result is real, beautifully grainy, nostalgic and imperfect in all the right ways. There’s something about the texture, movement and character of analogue film that digital simply can’t replicate.

It captures your wedding in a way that feels like a memory from another era, intimate, raw, slow and wonderfully nostalgic. Super 8 adds a completely different layer to your wedding film.
